Pack yet memorable. Here is a glimpse of Barcelona and its beauty.
To be more (cost) efficient, we took Movelia night bus (23:00) from Madrid to Barcelona. Book early and it only costs 18 euro! Arrived in Barcelona Sants around 6.30 AM, put backpack in the station locker and walked to the first Gaudi’s building we visited, the Casa Mila (La Pedrera)
La Ramblas, the ‘it’ road in Barcelona where you can find almost everything, from shops, food, and lost tourists like me!
Booked a free walking tour with Runner Bean Tour, started at 11 AM with meeting point here, at Placa Real
Took the Gothic Quarter your for 2 hours. The guise was very knowledgable and have great insigghts and info around the old town, with books and pictures
Although the tour allowed us to be in the cathedral for only 10 minutes, I could absorb its beauty in an instant.
Placa Sant Felip Neri in Gothic Quarter, just behind the Baroque Church. It is said that Gaudi went to this church every day, on foot, although it is quite far from where he resided
Antique buildings are scatered around the Gothic Quarter
Street attraction every now and then
A very nice walk in the Barri Gothic ‘El Call’ or known as the medieval Jewish Quarter.
Aren’t they just lovely!
A visit to Barcelona is not complete without going to the beach! Although the city is rather big, the T10 ticket (zone 1), that covers the city center is indeed a bonus. Just less than 10 euro!
Beer, sunset, beach. What could be better?
